About the artist

 

Irène Le Corre

Irène Le Corre, a trained Arts and Communications Manager, reconnected with her handwriting and drawing skills in early 2020. Since then, she has been fostering her passion for calligraphy and decorated letters through numerous workshops with international teachers. Her special interest lies in traditional and contemporary illumination. 'I have been very interested in illumination and have been learning different gilding techniques over the past few years. So, I wanted include gilding in my SymbiosisIV pieces: including traditional gilding but also larger scale, more experimental gilding,' says Irène.
