In Kendo, a traditional Japanese martial art, Zanshin is the state when the mind is fully vigilant and aware of its surroundings after attacking; when the mind remains still without being attached to anything and is totally present during every moment and action in the here and now.

About the artist

 

Kay Sadaoka fell in love with lettering in 2019 and began exploring different techniques and media. She eventually discovered calligraphy, and began honing her skills through online workshops and disciplined practice.
