TITLE | Suitcase of Memories

Memories make us who we are, and they are one of our greatest treasures. The fondest memories are usually the quietest. They may not be grand, but they give us a warm feeling inside. We don’t need a huge monument to commemorate them. They may even fit into a tiny matchbox, and yet feel just as valuable.

About the artist

A calligrapher-storyteller, artist and author, Alex is a creative powerhouse. She has been participating in art exhibitions since 2008. In 2009-2010 she had a personal exhibition of her graphic works in Minsk. It has also been exhibited in several cities in Poland. In 2017, she had her first personal calligraphic exhibition. Since 2016 Alex has been teaching calligraphy and promoting it in every possible manner: showing its variety, exploring and pushing its limits, and giving educational lectures on this topic on various platforms including TEDx and international art festivals. To popularize calligraphy, she organised the creation of group art objects. The largest projects she has conducted were huge interactive zones at the National Belarusian Art Museum during the Night of Museums and painting an art object in the city center, with over 30 calligraphers involved. Alex now lives in Poland.
