An artist based in Belgium

Joke Boudens

A Flemish illustrator, calligraphy artist and teacher, Joke Boudens is known for her impeccable lettering combined with delightful illustrations. After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts, she worked in her parents’ interior design business for a few years after which she worked as a part-time lecturer in embroidery. Around the same time, she attended a workshop on Roman capitals, and fell in love with lettering. She has never stopped creating lettering and illustration art since. Combining illustrations and lettering, her art is largely inspired by nature. She loves folk art, typography and working in sketchbooks.
