An artist based in Peru
Lissette Landauro
Lissette Landauro (Lima, 1971), completed her professional training as an architect, and also engaged in a study of various visual arts disciplines (drawing, watercolour and photography).
She began studying classical calligraphy from 2017 as a hobby. But when she began to learn under Claude Dieterich, a renowned calligrapher and graphic artist, she began to pursue calligraphy with a passion. Under his guidance, in 2019, Lissette, together with a few friends, started Caligrafica, a professional Calligraphy guild in Peru, incorporated to promote calligraphy in her country. Lissette now serves on the Board of Directors of the Peruvian Calligraphy Association.
Fascinated by the study of light and shadows, and the manipulation of three-dimensional forms. In her art, she combines calligraphy and lettering with cross-disciplinary techniques to create works that are personal and modern.
